Differential gear change
I am looking to change out the differential gears in my 06 M6 non Z51 to 3.90s Has any one done this and how do you like it.
I am looking to take it to Dallas to have it done but I am not sure who to take it to any ideas.

Been there and done that. Best move you can make. Expect to lose about 2mpg on the freeway, town milage stays about the same. RPM @ 70 should be about 1750. Consider doing at least the more stressed output shaft while your at it if there is any chance your car is going to see increased power or drag radials. Your car will become more responsive at all times. Notable increase in acceleration. 5th and 6th become much more useable. Even my wife liked the car better afterword and she normally doesnt notice mods outside of exhaust mods.
