Roof Panel Recall
- Recall on the roof panel, was painted a different black as the rest of the car. Looks hiddious.
-replaced steering wheel position sensor, it was internally shorted.
-replace fuel door release actuator,
- loose rubber strip inside back glass rescured with adhesive, has been loose from the day I bought the car.
- rear axel, differential fluid, drained and flushed housing. refill and install LSD Additive. (whatever that means)
What should I do, lots of adhesive was spilled on to the back of my seats, very noticeable if you pull seats forward.
I paid $53000. A real s..... job they did. This is my fourth Vette, never had so many problems.
Like to hear from you!

The additive should make your rear end quiter when going around a corner.
Good luck.

LSD = lysergic acid dimethylamine
or LSD = limited slip differential, you decide, it sounds like you may want to request some of the former

I would pull into there bay/and block traffic at the busiest time of day, and demand to see the GM of the dealership only!
Then ask him to explain the quality of work and ask for an area representative to explain the training that is required of the techs.
I would take pictures and call 1800 chevy and file a complaint. With the overall premise that Quality of Service is of equal importance as Quality of Vehicle
I would only settle for a new panel, and the very least new matching skins on the seats
When you bring the vehicle for this service tell them you took 24 pictures of your car with a newspaper on the hood so the date is verified. And if the vehicle is not perfect the pics go to the attorney and you will not except the car back for anything less than what you paid for it.
( I am not a paint specialist, but it sounds not right) They kept my car and will take care of it. He also agreed the seats might have to be replaced. They will try to clean the glue/adhesive that is underneath the roof panel and on my seats.
Now I wish I would have waited and dealt with the recall later.
Also called the customer service hotline. Lets see how the dealership will take care of my car. Of course I ask for a rent a car and free gas.
Thanks again for the response.

Over time the differece in the paint will become more noticable. Excuse the expression: They are blowing wind up your pant leg. Trying to give you the warm fuzzy. The only thing they should have told you was maybe not to wax for a month for the paint to cure. If you still have to do this.
