Default Help with EMT's

Sorry if this is a stupid question but, I am trying to re-paint my brake calipers as they have faded.

In order to do this properly, I want to take the wheels off but I am concerned about the EMT's.

Do I need any special tools or do I have to take any special precautions when taking off the EMT's?

(the owners manual says there is a risk that the tire might explode and adives to only have an authorized dealer do this)

????? The tires don't have to come off the rim to get at the calipers.
Just remove the wheels and you expose the calipers. Make sure you torque the lugnuts to 100 ft/lbs. when reinstalling the wheels.

Uhhh....excuse me, but if you want to get to the calipers, just pull the wheels & tires off....no need to dismount the tires from the wheels. Am I missing something else you're trying to do????

I'd LOVE to see him try and remove the EMT's with the rims on the car. I can barely get them off with a Hunter EMT tire machine...

Sorry if my post wasnt clear. I meant that I am removing the wheels, not taking the tires off of the wheels. But because the tires are EMTand the owners manual advised not to dismount the wheels, I was concerned.

Thank you for your replies, it answers my question.
