It SEEMED TO STICK TO THE FLOOR,IF YOU WILL.Didn't return all the way until i lifted it w/my foot...who's had that happen on their 05??
Me although it has only happened twice in over 20k miles and 1 yr 3 months.
The common thread in both cases was a hot car (had been driving for 1.5-2 hours) and was driving aggressive with quick shifts at the time. I've driven in similar situations without this happening, but both times it did happen the circumstances were the same.
I recollect a thread some time ago about '05 clutch problem as you've described & a GM Tech Bulletin being issued. Try doing a search for 'clutch' or 'clutch problems' in the C6 Tech or General sections.
While my clutch never stuck to the floor, it has gotten awfully soft and was slow to return the first inch or two from the floor. Took to the dealer, the service manager drove it and agreed the car was almost undriveable(?). Contacted Chevy tech suport and they never heard of such a thing. Must be hard of hearing.
Check the fluid in the clutch master cylinder (reservoir). You'll probably find some black nasty fluid that's been cooked from heat. the stock clutch in the LS1/2/6/7 all can suffer from pedal woes if the clutch fluid is allowed to degenerate.
Gotta be careful once the clutch pedal begins to act up. It can lead to missed shifts due to an incomplete disengagement. Those, of course, can lead to tranny issues.
Mine did it when I first got it, again only under hard driving conditions. Then I had GM replace my clutch under warranty with what they told me was an upgraded, newer clutch. I thought it was better but the same exact thing happened shortly after. I think the only fix is to buy an aftermarket clutch. My car does not like to let me do a burnout !
