When I close the car doors, all the running lights time out properly. For some reason, the reading lights stay on for quite a while....No I have not timed them. Maybe 5 to 10 minutes.
Is there a way to adjust the duration of those lamps ? Did I miss something in the owners manual ?
My reading lights seem to go on or off with the other courtesy lights. But...
The reading lights can be turned on/off by pushing the individual switches in the mirror, or both lights on/off at once by pushing the instrument panel light **** by your left knee. Many folks have accidentally turned them on with the knee switch, they will stay on for about 20 minutes after you close the door and then time out.
Yes, I saw that switch by the left knee. It can be pushed in or released to pop out, and rotates from about 10:00 to about 2:00 but it doesn't seem to do much.
Maybe I'll check it out after dark to see how it responds to different positions. Thanks for your help.
pushing the **** turns the interior courtesy lights on or off. twisting the **** adjust the intensity of the instrument panel lights. there have been lots of posts here about interior lights remaining on after closing the door that were tied to inadvertantly hitting this ****.
