Chevy advertises that the LS-7 has 6 bolt main bearings but I've not seen any mention of that spec for the LS-2. Does anyone know how many bolts are used to secure the main bearing caps on the LS-2?
Well don't quote me either, but I believe the LS1, LS6, and LS2 all have 6 bolt (cross bolted) mains as well. There are 4 bolts in the bottom of each main bearing cap similar to 4 bolt mains and 2 horizontal bolts (1 on each side) i.e. "cross bolted mains" .

I think that's some preproduction/early info (or maybe it's the GTO's specs?), the torque rating for the C6 is 400 now.

The LS2 (VIN 2) crankshaft bearing caps each have 4 vertical M10 and 2 horizontal M8 mounting bolts.
