Look, I did a statistical analysis of all posts by all people claiming DBS on all boards going back to 1953, and on all forums...including the mustang forum. I have found that over 29.3 (repeating of course)% of all DBS failures still had some power. How do you explain that one???!!!!

The DBS pimps have stated, right in the foreword of their handbook, that they have acknowledged the results of your statistical analysis and have given credit where credit is due. They indeed appreciate your efforts.

But you have to understand. The pimps have an agenda to advance here. They have to:

1. Scare the $#!+ out of people.

2. Bring recognition to themselves as being the "chosen ones" the only ones qualified to identify the situation and the only ones who have a handle on the situation. In other words establish themselves as gurus and the only people qualified to deal with the problem.

3. Create a bigger problem than what there really is and hold themselves out to be the only ones who really understand it.

4. Convince any and everyone that "they might be and probably are next" and will need the pimp's expertise, first in even identifying the "problem," and secondly in getting GM to listen.

5. Get the accolades of being the first to identify and vanquish a threat, even if there really never was a threat.

Now this 5th one you have to understand. There have been some groundbreaking achievements here in the C6 section.

One member was responsible for working on the MP3 fix. Another managed to allow us to burn the discs. Still another had the ***** to try it on his "non upgradable" NAV radio and discovered that the MP3 update worked for ALL '05 radios...... Another member has hacked into the NAV software. Another was the first to try Z51 swaybars on a non Z51 car and get good results. ...... Still another has ported the stock intake manifold and gotten good performance results.

These guys and their achievements get big recognition big kudos on this board. Their achievements are groundbreaking.

The DBS pimps want the same thing for themselves. They crave, desperately crave, that recogintion. So they will create a problem where there is none.
