Delco batteries are IMO crap . Hardly a week goes before another has failed to perform.
This very same instance, sans the Battery Tender, would have gone down as "DBS" had it happened in an '05 manual.
Yet another example of how more than a few reported instances of "DBS" in '05 manual C6s, were probably nothing more than another bad Delco battery failing to perform as intended.
AC Delco used to be the best batteries the one with the eye indicator.
I prefer interstate Megatron plus.
Did you forget to put your car in reverse? I have an auto but I have let it set for a week and it still starts no problems.

Says he has an '06. No need to shut it down in reverse.
First time my Delco battery fails, its outta here.
You can probably tell, I am not a big believer in "DBS." I think its "plain BS" for the most part.

So it is only the 2005 models with manual trans that you have to leave in reverse otherwise you will have a dead battery? Thanks for the info I didn't know of this change on the 2006 models.
My '06's battery died after 3 months. GM wouldn't replace it (said the battery was fine) until I took it to Sears and had them test it. I took the results back to the dealer and they finally replaced it. It's been fine since.

Amazing that Sears is better equipped to check a battery than a GM dealer.
You might also check to see if the battery tender is not faulty and was not putting out at least 1 amp to keep up with the current drain the car has when off.

I won't go with Sears Diehard batteries anymore 2 of them went out on me there quality must have gone down at that time. Hopefully now it's better but I prefer the Interstate megatron Plus batteris

Sears changed suppliers around 1993, but when the buyer and the CEO of the battery supplier went to jail the old supplier got the business back in 2000.
How do you like the "new" bright green of the Mega-Tron Plus?

Megatron Plus looks great but it doesn't have an eye like those AC-delcos has went that was the top battery.
Well, at the risk of sounding like a "DBS pimp" (haha) as you like to call it...I went out to my car one day, opened the door, got in, hit the go button and nothing happened. Checked every switch and **** (which wouldn't have mattered because the battery run-down protection), checked the shifter to ensure it was in reverse, which it was, and everything was just how it was supposed to be. The car had been sitting for about 5 days, yet still had power enough to open the doors and run the radio. If I had left something on, or left out of reverse, it would've been completely dead in that amount of time. Something woke up on the car a couple days into my long weekend away...
Whatdoya think?
Oh yeah, and the dealer said the battery was fine and I'm sure all the techs were laughing at me as I drove away...

Noooooooooooo, couldn't have been DBS. According to the DBS Pimp's Handbook, page 53, paragraph 6, article 8, it states plainly that the car has to be completely dead for it to be DBS.
Just ask my man here. His Rolls had DBS one time. And that was the last time. He called his lawyer and got it replaced through his state's Lemon laws. Or in his case "Lime laws."
Incidentally, I went for a drive yesterday, parked the car and went into the store. Came back and hit the start button, the needles swept like they do when the car starts, but the engine wouldn't fire up. Had to pull up the brake, release it, let off the clutch and depress it again, mumble WTF, and then hit it before it would start.
