I contacted them a few weeks ago and am waiting for mine to arrive as well. I purchased the original and there supposed to swap out for free.

We are in the final fitting and testing on the redesigned C6 Snake Charmer unit and will be (hopefully) approving the prototype Monday
of next week. From there it will only take the manufacturer a short time to cast the new boxes and for our crew to assemble the kits. The changes are aimed at making the unit a better fit and easier install along with strengthening the neck where we had a "bad" batch of boxes from the manufacturer that created the original concern. We appreciate the feedback from our customers and especially their patience. We want to make sure that you are extremely happy with the quality and performance of all our products. Again thanks for the understanding and patience!!!!!

I'm waiting to pull the trigger on one of these but have had questions and doubts about the quality which has been discussed repeatedly on this Forum. When you guys get it right, I'm there. Please let us know.

I purchased one with the group buy here a month or two ago but as of yet have still not installed it. I read all the difficulties others were having and had second thoughts. How can I tell if I have one of the "bad batch"? I'm definately interested in the improved installation and fit as this is why I have mostly delayed.

Is this information accurate? What does the "?" mean?

So now the how much power will you get question- standing on a dyno without using any special programming you should expect 10-15hp from any cold air kit,but once moving the VR will put all the lost MAP pressure back into the plenum yielding another 17hp by 60mph 19-20by 90-100mph and the way we rate our kits is through a ? mile Your total power through a ? mile is about another 22hp plus the dyno hp of 10-15hp,so, on the low side, 32 Rear wheel hp, high side 37 Rear wheel hp. That?s 39- 42hp at the fly wheel through a ? mile. This power shows up in the testing performance of the unit where we see gains of the fallowing,.
3.5 -4 tenths off the ? mile
+3.5-4mph+ added to the ? mile trap speeds
+7-10MPH to the cars top speed
That is serious performance considering that is right out of the box, we will continue development for further performance, but we have maximized the factory programming so more may be possible with custom tuning and we are working with tuners and racing teams now on such programs, so look for these in the future with a VR program or upgrading to a VR programmer if you already own one such a programmer.

Definitely areas of concern with the prior units from the reports of owners and photos. for taking the effort to address these issues.

The defective boxes can easily be identified by their weak "neck". When you put the red coupler on and tighten the clamp if the neck starts to collapse then you know you have a "bad box". We will post to the forum as soon as the updated boxes are approved and ready to ship. We really anticipate this to be some time next week and will work hard to fill all complete unit orders and orders for replacement boxes ASAP!!!
Again thanks for the input and especially your patience!!!!

thanks for the update. my baby is sitting in the shop waiting... well, actually she's getting her 36k mile checkup. needed brakes, yes i had a couple of hard stops during the break-in period, didn't let the brakes properly seat before i hat to hit them a few times. warped up a rotor pretty good, much less sat her up on a curb. we upgraded to the '07 f55 performance pads and rotors. hopefully it looks pretty good, anyone know if the upgraded rear rotor is larger than the '05 stock, or is it just a small cross drilled version ?

is it pretty definate that 'good' versions will be shipping by the end of this week (6/9/6), which would put them into hands and onto cars by 6/14/06 ?
