Does anyone have this problem with their vette? I know that the doors are long and heavy, but I figured GM would have compensated for this. I am not quite sure if the doors are actually sagging, but I have noticed a wear spot beginning to rub on the drivers and passenger door jams. The spot is up near the top of the mating surface where the rubber door seal on the trailing edge of the door meets the painted part of the door jam. (Hopefully this description makes sense, and you can build a mental picture of it). Its a small area, near the top where the body of the car starts to bow out, that is what makes me think the door is resting on that area causing it to rub the paint.
Any suggestions to my not very clear question would be greatly appreciated. If anyone else has had this problem, I would also appreciate how you got this fixed or what the dealership did to fix it. I am guessing that they will shim it and re-align the door then repaint the rubbed part. The Vette is an 05 with only 13400 miles on it, so it shouldn't be doing this already. Thanks to all in advance.
Sorry for quality of pics, but yes, mine has scraped, and I was peeved, even though mine is a driver not a garage queen.
Can't guarantee it, but I think this is what OP was talking about.
I noticed a while back, was going to take it in, but damage is done, does not seem to be getting worse -- think they 'settled, and stopped.
Still sux.
I may be crazy, but I thought I would wait to take it in until more people had 'em, the GM techs had experience, etc. I do not want them to munge my brand new car and make it worse.

TrackNoob, the scratches I was talking about was straight up from where yours are. Mine are at the top of the door jam, right where the body starts to bulge outward. If I had a place on the internet to post them, then I would put pics up on here, but alas I don't.
there is a TSB on this issue. GM wlll install a rubber bumper to help aligned the door. It was talked about a few week ago on this forum. Let me try to search....
i've had similar challenges with my driver's side door. at times it also doesn't close on the first try. simply bounces off and i have to close a little harder.
