My wifes '02 GMC Envoy does the same thing...Pull into the garage and sizzle sizzle....... Scared the cr*p outta me the first time!!!! It is the condenser drain, right above the tail pipe.
Just hope it doesn't do what the C-5 did and drain onto BCM that was located below drain hose Great engineering
Well, for whatever it's worth, I have been hearing the same sizzling sound out of my brand new 2012 Coupe. Gee, I would have thought they would have rerouted that hose by now...
The HVAC air box evaporator coil produces CONDENSATION during normal operation. The condensation needs to drain out OR it will drain into the passengers foot well.
Your drain udder is on the passengers side of the fire wall and thats where the condensation drains out of the air box. If you use the AC and dont see it draining,, thats an issue.
I dont have an an exact picture of a C6 drain but I do have one for a C5 They are simular.
All the AC and heater lines are up high on the fire wall:

yes, unfortunately, it's normal, but doesn't mean we have to live with it.
Yes, we do have to live with it ... unless you want to dismantle the car . I tried to locate that stupid drain when replacing the X-pipe (an OEM '11 instead of my catted '12), and couldn't do it, even though a lot less crap was in the way. It's high up in the tunnel somewhere inaccessible. Even if I knew exactly where it was, it'd be impossible to properly attach an extension hose to it easily. And since the water just falls on the tunnel, it can drip anywhere in that area, so it's impossible to build anything to catch it either.
Bottom line is it's normal, and we DO have to live with it . But again, why GM didn't put a proper drain line (maybe $0.10 more?) on a $70K+ car is beyond me.

I am going to speculate that GM was concerned that if they had added a drip hose to direct the condensation to the bottom of the car, statistically there would have been some number of cars experience blockage of that longer hose with mildew, insect nests, etc, that would have caused a far greater problem for the owner. JMHO.
