LG Pro Long Tube Header Install tips
Also, to save some time, I removed the stock cats and exhaust manifolds together. It saves you from trying to break loose the nuts that hold the cat to the manifold. Taking out both units together was not hard.
Good luck, it's a very easy install.
Don't under or over tighten the header bolts.
Remember you put the headers in from UNDERNEATH
. Disconnecting the coil-packs made it much easier to tighten the bolts.
Take care in taking off the fuel rail covers, don't snap them like I did! Also, remember to align the pipes on the bottom to ensure your cat-back isn't completely misaligned.
Make sure you have your tips level or you'll have to go back and redo it XD, pain in the ****.
Oh oh, and make sure to tuck the protruding areas of the clamps up towards the tunnel plate. Must preserve aerodynamics at all costs becuase drag is your enemy!! XD. Bahahaha.
Keep the sensors off the headers to prevent them from being too close to the heat from the header. Also, I used twist ties in the engine bay to take care of excess wire from the sensors.
Decide now if you want to also install a chassis tunnel plate from elite engineering or some other, they can help with heat and stiffness. Kill two bird with one stone.
Download a tutorial for installing LG headers just for reminders or in times of doubt.
Get a tune after, kthx.
Don't get frustrated and take your time XD. HAVE FUN, Rawwr!
