I've just recieved my vararam and I'm not sure that it is the new one.

how can I defrenciate between the old and new one?

the top section was suppose to be very flimsy the hose and clamp would collapse the plastic housing

and when you secured the air box end clamps to the lower scoop, it bows in the middle

Also the filter on the new one just slides together, old one was hard to get in there. On the same track, can you tell me what the inside diameter of that red piece of silicone that attaches the vararam to the MAF is?

The ID for the red coupler is 3.75"

so I got the new one.
at first I wasn't happy with it and I had a race with someone that I raced before and no difference. after I did a 400 miles on the car I raced him again and I got happy. there was a different. thanx vararam

on the old one maybe (I only saw the old one installed on a friends car) but the new one is a fairly sturdy product, I have no complaints.
