Default Dyno Tune & Bullets put on

Hello all,

Wanted to share the results of the dyno done at Vette Dr's yesterday. The car is a Z51 Auto, C6, 05.

Has Vararam induction, B&B Bullets, and a dyno tune.

Loving the sound of the bullets by the way.

Results are 363rwhp and 364rwtq

Not bad at all.

It's an A4. Did you dyno with the torque converter locked?

Not really sure. Didn't bother to ask. I would guess the norm. I don't have any kind of convertor or anything on it so locked?

If you have a chance ask the tuner what he did. When I see really high numbers from an auto, it would appear he locked the A4. That is pretty much the norm for dynoing an A4 so that it makes higher numbers.

There is no tuning so far for the A6 so all the 330 to 335 rwhp numbers coming from them is with the converter unlocked.

Thanks,
Glenn

If his car is an o 05, then he has the A4, not the A6....

That was my point. I knew he had an 05 with the A4 so that's why I asked if it was dynoed with the converter locked. My point is that A6's make less power because you can NOT lock the converter. Real world the converter is not locked under WOT, so the locked dyno is just a parlor trick.

Update: I called Carmen and he said unlocked. I'm hopefully going to get to scan it tonight depending on my schedule and the traffic coming home from queens.

This is outstanding as some don't think either the bullets or the intake add much in the way of rwhp meaning the tune may have made the biggest difference. With this set-up do the tires break from 1st to 2nd?
