Default Header installation?

hey you guys, was wondering how much header installation usually runs? wondering how much a shop would charge to have the LG long tubes with x pipe installed. what would be a fair price. I have a 06 C6 MN6. any reply's are much appreciated. thanks you guys!

Typically about 500 bucks. I did mine (American Racing Headers) in the garage on jackstands took between 4 and 5 hours. It was a bit of a pain the backside, but the money saved will be better spent on a dyno tune at A&A corvette. It really is a pretty straight forward mod if you are slightly mechanically inclined, there is a good right up on this by gmrulz I think. Best of luck.

It wont take more than 2.5 hours on a lift unless they really milk it. $200 tops, if you pay more I have some land to sell you...
It took me about 2 hours on my garage floor. If it's your first time expect a while longer.

The only O2 sensor problem there could be it to mix them up, simply mark them as you take them off.
Seriously, it does not take a mechanicallyt inclined person to install them. Invite a buddy over and make a day of it. You'll feel good about yourself at the end of the day. The C5 required the removal of many parts, the C6 requires the removal of nothing.

CYA-Vett - that is good advice - sounds like nothing a buddy, my dog, and a few beers can't take care of...besides - I am willing to try anything twice!

I installed mine this weekend at a buddy's house (he has a lift). Took us about 4 hours and was very easy. The only issue I had was seperating the pipe where the H pipe meets the pipe that goes over the axle to the mufflers. The exhaust manifold bolts are very easy to access compared to any other car that I have seen. Do it yourself and enjoy.

I am not very mechanically inclined, but Headers don't seem to hard.

Unfortunately, after my Back surgery there is NO WAY I am leaning over the car or laying under it anymore.

Hopefull when the time comes, I can have a reputable shop do it for well under $500.

My bet is my buddy Dale who owns a performance shop & dyno 20 minutes away will do it for around $250-$300.

I figure $75/hr is fair.
