This is not a problem. just turn off the active handling system and it will shift normally
started acting up again, turned off active handling and traction, still does it, going to have to bring it in ..bummer was hopeing that your advise would fix it..
My car has not hit the limiter since the first couple of times I noticed it. Seems to have fixed itself. I checked with my tuner and he did not touch the limiter. So I don't know what is up.

Then maby you are having a problem with the tuning.
turning off the AH and TC worked with me. and sorry it didn't work with you.
thanks everyone, im at a loss, hopefully cousin can figure it out, are the performance tunes out yet for a6? if so they could lower the shift point alittle so its not hitting rev limit correct?
I think that the beta version is out. and you can change the shifting points with it.
but not sure that it will fix your problem. maby its not the tuning and maby it is.
the factory tuning should fix it if it was a tuning problem.
thanks again, wanting some extra power been waiting for the tune to come out, hopefully its just a tune problem, since it dont do it all the time cant figure it out, most of the time though latly and only at the 1-2 shift...ill pass on info as i get it next week when i bring it in..take care..dan
I totally disagree, "all these stories" are just the very few cases (maybe legitimate gripes, maybe driver error?) we're reading about on the forum, there are THOUSANDS of these 6L80Es out there now running around absolutely trouble free.
It's an AWESOME transmission/system actually.
Very happy with the A6 performance...do it right and it will shift right...do it wrong and you will have frustrations.
All I can tell you guys that my A6 was REPLACED with only 1500 miles while cruising along at 1-2 mph at a 4th of July parade. The new one seems okay & I know from other guys with them at E Town...the times suck. I'm sorry I didn't get a 6M.
After reading all these stories, it appears that GM still can't build an auto trans I want.
There is nothing wrong with the transmission. It is the operator!
If you manual shift any transmission too late and hit the Rev limiter it is going to cut out and also keep in mind the Tachometer has a lag behind actual engine RPM's.
I love how some members if they have not had the same problem will immediately blame it on driver error, like nothing has ever gone wrong with corvette before.

Those "guys" can't drive then because my junk went 12.5 @113 with a CAI. Not bad if you ask me. Better than half of the stick drivers.

He didn't say he was using the paddles. Please read before you assume to know.

Yea, it's amazing, I hate it when I miss gears in Drive, I suck at life.
No kidding. I guess you have to hold your mouth just right to get the shift perfect when drag racing in S or D.
I am quite happy with my A6, but I know for a fact it has hit the limiter on shifts in S before. Like I said it seems to have fixed itself.
If he was using paddles then yes it is most likely driver error. But if not he has a glitch that needs fixed.
Like Waveblaster said you need to read the thread before casting blame.
thank you, let me say it again for those that read whole post..in S or D.from a stop or if you floor it at any speed that it downshifts to first it is hitting rev limiter and falling on its nose when shifting to 2nd...car is stock...

Sorry to hear about your tranny trouble but I have made about 70 passes with my A6 at E-Town and it went 12.5 at 113 all day with only Vararam CAI. Only a excellent driver with a C6 MN6 with Vararam would beat these times, there are to many things to do for that perfect run with a manual trans (Light, Launch, shift points), I am sure some people enjoy the extra work/challenge, but for bracket racing, the stick guys are usually gone in round 1. Dont get me wrong, the MN6 can be 2-3 tenths quicker but I enjoy bracket racing so the auto is perfect for me.
