Default Replace Pads with Ceramic proceedure?

Have a Z51 Coupe on order and based on recomendations from several of the forum members have decided to immediately change over the pads to Ceramic the day I get the car. I will order the ceramic pads from Fred Bean this Monday.
My question is: are there any post or web sites that can help me with a step by step process? ---- I have done brakes before on my passenger cars, but have no knowlege of the C6 system and don't want to get myself in trouble!
Thank you !

There all similar and very easy to do. Use the same procedure as the cars you have done and it will not be a problem.

yea,
remove the wheel,
take off the top 15mm bolt that holds the calieper to the bracket.
loosen the same bottom bolt and rotate the caliper off the rotor.
replace pads and tighten everything back up.

nothing simpler.

I used to wash my wheels every day, since I put the ceramic pads on last weekend, I haven't had to clean my wheels and I drove the car all week.

Now I need sets for my other cars.

My ceramics are squeaking like crazy. I would rather have the dust back.

that is really odd, I've never heard of ceramics squeaking. Perhaps there is sand or dirt stuck in the calipers or a lack of caliper grease on the contact points causing it.

Which brand of ceramics?

I have heard that, but mine don't squeak. I have the AC Delco ones that Fred Beans had on sale a couple of weeks ago. I found out that they are made by Raybestos.

AC Delco from Fred Beans. I took off each wheel and cleaned them with brake cleaner and sprayed Permatex disc brake quiet still just a little squeel. I have done brakes before this was not difficult at all. Just wish the noise would go away.

The car only has 5000 miles on it

If your breaks are squealing bed them, ceramic or not! http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

AC Delco is the way to go, not a sound and the wheels are clean!

But compare prices of Raybestos from Forum Vendors with AC Delco from Forum Supporting Dealers before you buy.

You may end up buying AC Delco from Fichtners or Fred Beans.

What is the reason you are going to ceramic? Squealing or dusting? I have a 06 with the Z51 option and I do not have any squealing, but I do have dust. Of course, I went with the Comp Gray Wheels, so I really don't notice the dust that badly.

Squeal gone, don't know if it was the brake cleaner or the brake quiet. Just glad it is over.
