Question re power top anomoly
I have an 05 vert with power top. I have replaced the microswitches, hydraulic system motor and flushed the hydraulic lines. The top has worked well for almost a year. Then about 2 months ago I was putting the top down - the cloth top folded into place but the tonneau would not close. Got it to the dealer who released the pressure in the hydraulic system so it would operate manually. Then he reinstated the hydraulic pressure (changed nothing) and the top worked perfectly. Today, the same thing happened with the same fix. The dealer hooked the car up to a computer and it was throwing NO codes. No one can figure out why, on a rare occasion, the tonneau gets stuck and will not go down. Anyone have an educated guess or experience a similar problem? Thanks

I had this kinda happen the other day, but it was because I had used my C6 as a grocery getter and had too much stuff in the trunk (Hey, I DID take the long way to get there!). The power top couldn't go down far enough to trip the sensor to allow the tonneau to close. Had to fart around with reaching inside to disconnect and reconnect the partition where it contacts the switch to make sure there was pressure, then it let me close the top and the tonneau closed.
Only other problem I had was also self-inflicted - I had disconnected the battery during some stereo installation stuff and needed to re-index the windows. But there the top wouldn't budge at all, including the tonneau.
