Default LS2 Manifold Tech... Engineer Question

I know that a GM engineer or two involved with the corvette program browse in here from time to time. I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to.

What is composition of the LS2 manifold? What material is it made of?

I've got one on the bench that I am working heavily and I need to obtain some flat sheet material that is the same or very similar to the factory intake material. Can anyone help with some information?

Thanks for any info!

I'm not a GM Engineer, but I think the intake manifold is a glass filled Nylon 66.

...Dupont Zytel Nylon 6.6, which is nylon with glass fiber reinforcement.

It might be... but it looks and cuts (ports) differently than the LS1 and LS6 material. They definitely look like the Nylon 66 material I've seen. The LS2 looks more "plastic" than nylon Can it be the same basic material?

Any other folks want to chime in on this? Experimentation would be expensive on this one!

Thanks for the answers fellas. All answers are appreciated!

Try calling GE Plastics to see if they can give you the material.

I think the LS2 manifold is in fact a slightly different (cheaper?) material than the LS1/LS6 intakes were/are, seems to be a more brittle plastic maybe.
