The LS3, a slightly warmed over L92 with a reported 425 hp, is almost certain to be the base engine in the 2008. With the cessation of LS2 production at the end of the 2007 model year, what else does Chevy have to put in the Corvette?

Also look for a supercharged version of the same engine, to be called the LS9, that's reported to make over 600 hp, in the upcoming "super Vette".

I knew it would only be a matter of time. Why would you put your best technology heads on a truck motor and not on the vette.

This is awesome news for folkes that just want to do a cam swap and some LT headers. It will be easy to make 450-500 RWHP with LTs and a cam with the L92 heads!
