Does the motor need to be lifted?

Does the motor need to be lifted?

I had an 01 z06 that when we installed kooks long tubes the motor had to be lifted because of the tight fit on the drivers side.
I just bought 07 c6 and was wondering with the kooks on this model will the motor need to be lifted or do they fit ok from the bottom without lifting the motor.

They will go in from the bottom without jacking the motor. You do need to get the car pretty high though. I used a lift at work. I don't think they would have went in on stands. If the heads are off, they can come out the top, but I don't expect you are doing that. My car is an 05 M6 by the way.

Can we expand this so that those who installed ALL brands of headers can let us know if it is done without lifting the engine ?

Just did my Kooks 1 7/8" Headers last weekend in my garage on jack stands. Had the car about 2 ft off the ground and had absolutely no trouble at all.
