Default Svo Injectors

The guy who is going to be helping me with the tune of my 07 LS-2 Vette when I finish my light mods (long tubes, CAI, Alky injection) suggested the stock 32# injectors might be a little light. I'm looking to get up around 36-38#. I have had several forum members suggest going to SVO 30# for good quality and price. My own research has come up to some questions that maybe some of you can help me with.

Flow - Is the fuel calculation a linear thing? I understand Ford runs their pressure at 43.5# and GM maintains 58#. Does it follow that ( 30# divided by 43.5 times 58 = 40#)? If so, that's a little fatter than I was looking for. Maybe I would be better off with the 40# used in the LS-7. If I require warranty work the boys might not freak out so much. Not sure how they would compare $ ?

Series - I had originally thought I was looking for "blue giants", and maybe I still am. After wallowing around on unfamiliar websites, and finding several series of injectors apparently for the Bosch system, I am confused. Clarification or part # would be great.

Available - I imagine my local Ford dealer would charge retail and then some. Where to buy at a reasonable price would be appreciated.

General Scheme - I'm hoping to sharpen up the performance, but not too much at the expense of drivability or economy. My hope would be that the larger injectors would come into play at WOT, but with thoughtful manipulation of fuel tables, might leave the great mileage largely unaffected. Am I dreaming?

Thanks a lot in advance, Dick

Not being certain where you're going with this, but if you remain
NA with mods listed, stock 32# injectors are good for 500 BHP.
i.e.: #/hr required flowrate = HP x .5 (NA)/ No. of injectors

To calculate new flowrates with increased fuel press.....
Old Flowrate x Square root of New Press/ Old Press = New
Flowrate
e.g.: if you use a 36# SVO rated at 43.5 psig, then with
the Vette's 58#... 36#/hr x Sq.Rt. of 58/43.5 = 41.5#/hr

Even considering a .8 duty cycle IMHO , unless you're going FI it's a
waste of injector and money.
Hope this helps.

The stockers wll get you to 500rwhp not just BHP. Unless you are doing a stroker leave the injectors alone.

Unless you're doing an S/C (maggie includes 48# injectors AND a pump booster) there should be no reason for increasing the injector flow. You're still going for optimal A/F delivery rates, and unless you increase the displacement of the motor (or use positive displacement - ie:supercharge), there's likely no way you're going to see a fuel drop-off, even with the fattest of table massages.

Again, we're talking A/F ratio's - the object being - to keep them within a certain range. There's no benefit to larger injector capacity here with the mods you're suggesting. You probably won't see much benefit to the alky injection ALONE (or at least not enough to lose your windshield washers if you're using one of the systems that use the WW reservior) unless you're running in the desert and using it to lower IAT's.

You MIGHT see some benefit it you were doing a HUGE N2/0 shot, and were seeing A/F's go "uncomfortable" at the top side of the RPM range.
