Default B&B Bullet cat-back

i've placed an order for a b&b cat-back. I have an A6. should I know anything about installation? do I have to modify any thing for it. is it easy to install it at home or do I have to take it to an exhaust shop?

I heard that there is only 2 to 3 RWHP is that true or should I expect more of it?
they claim that I can get a maximum of 17 RWHP.

thank you

It was a very easy install that I completed in about 20 minutes, but I also have a lift and a shop. The hardest part was getting the stock exhaust off with out cutting it, but once I loosened the rear sway bar the exhaust came right out. It is a pretty straight forward bolt up install. I would not expect any real horsepower gain out of it, but the sound of the exhaust is amazing and intimidating to other drivers!!!

Easy install. I had a top shop do it and it took them 20 minutes with the stock pipes completely intact. There is no muffler so there is no exhaust system that is freer flowing. I have to believe that makes more hp top end, but don't know how much. I wouldn't be surprised at ~10 rwhp just looking at the stock mufflers and how restrictive they are. But, the key is the sound. Fantastic! Best exhaust I've heard since back in the day with chambered Z-28 LT-1 and the Ford 428 Cobra Jets. Very close to my 400 Pontiac big blocks on my '69 GTO and '70 Formula 400 with respect to over-run, burble and popping. I love the smell of napalm in the morning and Bullets in the afternoon!!!

took off my stock catback(06 a6) with a floor jack in my garage(nose of the car hitting the ground) unbolt rear sway bar and unbolt exhaust at h-pipe @ middle.actually had to unbolt the rubber hangers that hold the muffs up, because in my case the hangers, they did not come out so easy. after that shake n pull the exhaust until it loosens itself from the h-pipe. imho a real pita- 2hrs, didnt feel like reinstalling the new exhaust myself so i paid LEP in vegas to do the install of my lg longtubes, x-pipe & bullets for $320-well worth it. oh and the sound of the bullets is worth every penny!- definate power increase, drone not bad, not too loud- but perfect.
