Default Z06 Body Panel Conversion

I’m going to be doing the complete Z06 body panel conversion to my new 07, Z51 coupe soon. Would anyone in the forum mind sharing what your cost was for the installation and paint work. I’m just trying to get a base line before I start getting quotes. I already have pricing on all of the parts needed for the conversion. Any feedback on your experience with this conversion would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Well I did not do the fronts but I just finished the rears. I got the parts from Fred Beans and then had the paint and install done by a local shop. The guy charged me right at $650 for that. I have been told that was cheap but he did good work and the car looks great. Got my rims from Corvettes of Houston and tires from tire rack. Hope that helps

The problem is the fronts. I'm sure someone will step up soon, but for now, only the factory CF pieces are available and you need the front clip as well. That puts you well over $2K for parts alone on the front, + at least $1,200 for paint. And that's a low estimate. Really not worth it IMP, when there are 18x9.5 wheels that will go under the stock front fenders.

Caravaggio makes fronts. The factory pieces aren't the only front fenders. The Caravaggio's aren't as light as the CF, but they do weigh less then the stock C6 fenders.

True I forgot John's pieces. However, I seem to recall the prices on those were very high (around $750 /side?). While half the price of the CF piece, that is still 2x what the OEM rear quarters cost.

They are of course gorgeous pieces, as with everything he does.

I don't think the DSVs are in production yet...could be wrong though.

Perfect fit, perfect look. I agree on the fronts not really being worth it. The only thing I really like about the fronts is the larger air ducts on the side. I am cleaning her tomorrow and will post pics.

I read an article in the October Corvette Magazine about a guy who added the rear fenders and it said they had to do a lot of fitment to get them right. I want to do this too, but I'm worried that it might be too difficult to match the Monterey Red paint.

Metallics are really tough to match. But then so is black. I think a good paint shop will always get it right, but you pay. $650 is what I was quoted here to for 2 rears.

Anybody know when can we expect the DSV pieces?
