Default 20 HP Gain????

I was told the following:

1. I can expect conservatively 20 BHP gain (NOT RWHP).
2. No codes.
3. No emmision inspection problems.
4. Slightly better exhaust tone without compromissing interior cabin noise.
5. And will actually feel the 20 HP difference in acceleration.

All this by making ONLY the following changes to a 2007 Z51 with manual transmission:

1. Random Technology X Pipe.
2. Random Technology High Flow cats. (stock mufflers remain)
3. K&N filter.

I would appreciate your comments on all (5) of the above. Thank you.

I doubt it unless that includes a tune.

The Random X-pipe and Cats are around 6-8rwhp, that's what they claim. The K&N filter should be worth another 2-4hp. So, 20 bhp sounds possible.

Possibly yes but I wouldn't count on a true 20rwhp, easily 10+rwhp though I'd bet.

you might get the 20 bhp, but you won't feel it

Just slap on some headers.......get some "seat of the pants" power

Don't do it.
Wait for headers, which will include the X-pipe and cats.
Do it right.

It is the tune that makes the big difference, not the bolt ons

It's the tune to take advantage of the bolt-ons (headers and CAI) that makes the difference!
