Default Cruise Control/Speedometer Issue

My Cruise control has stopped working and my speedometer has recently started dropping to 0 when I floor the pedal. Comes back as soon as I let off. I recently had some ECM and TCM programming done but my tuner says it is not related to that. Anyone have any thoughts? Is it electrical or possibly another control module malfunction?

I'm sure the cruise control is not working due to the speedometer problem. In addition that's an unusual problem and I am also sure it's related to the progaming since the speedometer does not have a cable and is all electronic. Be careful when you take it to the dealer. They will know you had the tune and send you back to the tuner.

If you go to the dealership, make sure they do not re-flash the PCM. Unless it's locked, you'll lose your edit.

Did the tuner try to fix the problem before telling you it had nothing to do with the programming? Good luck...hopefully the dealer or the tuner will be able to do something to help you out.

If it were an electrical problem, I'd expect it to show up when you hit a bump, not just when you floor the accelerator. Most likely it is something the tuner did. Flash it back to stock and see if that clears up the problem. If that doesn't fix it, monitor the OBD II data with a scan tool. If the scan tool reports zero speed when you accelerate, you have a defective TCM. If it doesn't, you have a defective IPM. But I bet reflashing to stock will cure it.
