Finally had to cut 1 1/2" from the pipe that connects the cats to the X-pipe, then everything fit. Anyway, just wanted everyone to know that, with the DynaTech headers, the FkowMasters have a terrible drone inside the cabin. Outside, the sound is exactly what I was looking for, but the drone inside is so bad, that I will probably remove them from the car. Between 1500 and 2000 rpm (normal cruise rpm) the drone is to the point you can barely hear the radio, much less have a conversation. If anyone is considering FlowMasters, you need to know this. I don't know if the same mufflers, using the stock exhaust manifolds would have this problem? Perhaps it's just an issue with cars with headers??
All I can say is that it must be the headers that are giving you the drone. I have the FM system (no other exhast mods) and I don't have any of the sound you have at the RPM range you mention or anywhere else for that matter. I assume when you say Flowmasters, you are referring to the #17416 (2 tip) or #17427 (4 tip) system for the C6.
I can drive and carry on a conversation easily as well as listen to my music with no problem at all.
