Default Matched fuel injectors

I have to believe GM supplies these but I can't find a part # (or description). Anybody have any idea where to look? Thanks.

Default Injectors

WHAT ARE YOU WANTING TO FIND?
ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A FLOW MATCHED SET OF INJECTORS?
OR?
ALL GM INJECTORS ARE MATCHED TO ALL BE WITHIN A MARGIN OF EACH OTHER..
BUT IF YOU NEED THAT KIND OF ACCURACY ID QUESTION WHY YOU WOULD WANT FACTORY..
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON MAKING POWER AND KEEPING YOUR WARRANTY SEND ME AN EMAIL WITH YOUR PHONE NUMBER, TIME TO CALL, AND A ROUGH IDEA OF WHAT YOU WANT(HP FIGURE/PRICE)

Yes. It is the leanest cylinder and tends to also be on the bank not tested by a wideband while tuning. Motors killed by detonation tend to have a dead #7. It is statistically significant.

When changing my plugs I noticed that no. 8 (passenger's side) had some leakage around its base, so I was wondering about the predetonation correllation with the rearward cylinders.

I wonder why no. 8 is not a problem also. Is there some assymetry in fueling there?

Higher air pressure in the back of the manifold causes the rear to get more air but the injectors are directed to give 1/8 of the measured air to each cylinder evenly. Number 7 is most rear-ward.

Thanks. I sense/feel a slight surge at light throttle which (I believe) is one cylinder checking out. So I was thinking I have a low flow injector (which would also be a problem at WOT). I'm going to port the intake manifold so while I'm doing this I might as well check them. Do you think they can be checked by hooking them to an electric fuel pump, trigger them (are they 5 or 12 volts?) and timing the fill of a pint or somesuch? I have a graduated cylinder around someplace too.

Slight surge with what mods? I would have them done at a good shop. They can tell you real quick if they are close without the hassle of riggin up something yourself. Let us know if you go that route and the cost... I'd be interested.

Essentially no mods (Vararam & Borla X-pipe). Improved somewhat with Vararam (and completely went away for the first 1000 miles with the Vararam). Been there since brand new.

Unfortunately just testing open flow may not give you enough information. Because these things are fired in fairly short pulses they spend a significant fraction of that time opening and closing, so a slow-opening (or fast closing) injector would provide too little fuel even if it flowed normally when wide open. So I think you'd need to use some sort of pulse train that simulates normal operation in order to test them.

No it's in warranty but I'd never be able to convince them it's an issue. Simply isn't severe enough. I just know I'm giving up power.

It sounds like a something a tune may address. If it was gone with the Vararam it may be an issue with airflow that the computer "relearned" and it came back. I don't think its injector but I've got little to go on. Let a tuner mess with it and see what you get. Make sure they are in fact a tuner and not a hack, the latter will get you more of what you already got.
