Default Fixing Non Runflats

I am worried about switcing to non runflats. Does any have actual real world experience with a can of tire inflator? Did it affect the sensors? I have a compressor and plug kit also, but that may not always be a viable option - so the fix-a-flat would be a backup for me.

Tks
Bill

IMO, the car is too low to use a plug kit, without jacking it up.
I do carry a can of Fix a Flat in my other cars, but never had to use it.

Having driven Z06's since 01 they did not come with runflats but with the air pump and sealer. Only one time did I have a flat and then I called AAA since the tire was slashed.
I currently have an 06Z and changed out the runflats for non-runflats, I currently carry a AAA card...

To answer you ? I have pluged tires in the past, knowing full well the tires rating has been compromised...

Doesn't fix-a-flat damage the pressure sensors?

Thats would be my opinion too. However many sport car manufactures such as Porche provide a a can of sealant in the repair kit. I believe the ZO6 also comes with sealant and a small compressor. My only thought would be this is a specific type of sealant. Can anyone confirm this?

I just purchased a kit from Tire Rack which is a pump that pumps a latex based gel into the tire. They said this pump is standard equip. for several exotic cars. The GT40 was mentioned.

The sealant is a last ditch effort and remember -- the Z06 (C5 version which had non-EMTs) also did not have tire pressure sensors.

So, nothing to ruin.

I watched my neighbor fix 2 tires on his friends car. One front and one rear. This 06 has been lowered. No problem.
