Finally got the goodies out of the garage and installed on my base 06 6-speed. Lingenfelter CAI, American Racing 1.875" long tubes (no cats), 160deg stat, and tunnelplate. Car is stock otherwise, 4300 miles. We didn't do a baseline on the Dynojet, but 6-sp C6s make 335-345whp on this particular dyno. We did 2 pullls and my car ended up with 379whp and 374wlb-ft Shop couldn't do a tune as they are waiting on software, so there's prolly another 10whp on the floor (especially looking at how rich it got after 4500rpm). They didn't give me an electronic copy of the charts, sorry.
Must say the SOTP can definitely tell a difference, as can the tires which spin much easier. Car sounds mean now, even with the stock catback...I'm not sure I'll do Corsa Sports now. I never thought that at the age of 29 I'd be saying the stock mufflers are loud enough Man I can't wait to do heads and cam now
Good going....it looks like you're pulling some decent numbers. You might want to consider the Corsa Sports at some point in the future, with H/C you should have a very aggressive sounding car.
Great post. Did your shop happen to mention how many (if any) other C6's that have come in for long tubes wound up with the dreaded CEL? If so...what did it take to remedy?
I noticed in 6th gear at 70-75mph, 1500-1700rpms a slight HUM, maybe a minor drone, but I actually like it.
Does the Hum sound effect the listening of your stereo system? The reason I'm asking is because I had the Borla Stinger on my C5 and had difficulty listening to the stereo with the annoying drone. I just don't want to sacrifice that again. I actually had to go to 5th gear in order to dissipate the annoying sound. I really don't care too much about the Corsa System until I heard the Corsa Sports on a sound clip, not bad. The way you describe the sound may fit my choice otherwise I would remain stock. However, I would rather take the Bullets any day if it wasn't for the annoying drone. Thanks

I have the cat ineffiecency CEL currently Once Corey get's the rest of the software he's waiting for he should be able to program it out. He says the CEL isn't affecting anything at least. Shop was Henderson Performance.
Just a thought but you might want to consider leaving the stock cat back on till after you do the H/C. That will up your ante on the sound front by a noteable quantity. Some folks are suprised by how much the valvetrain noise alone can add to the mix depending on your choices there. At any rate you can always move on the the cat back for any added sound adjustment you feel your needin after the fact.

Sorry to hear that. That CEL after a mod like this is what makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.
Seems I have read here that many have gotten the CEL and some had major difficulty finding the cause.

You are generally correct about CELs being a problem, but in this case, I think he has a CEL because he opted to do away with the catalytic converters. The computer is expecting to get a reading from them, so that's why the CEL. As he says, the tuner can program this one out. But I agree with you: CELs are a potential problem when modding intake or exhaust manifold.
