I added a new third light, and the best way to get to it is to take off the round stoplights near the light and get to the center from the outside of the car. You might have to remove it anyway as the plug is built in to the housing of the light. The wires should then be accessible to you from the top by pulling lightly on them. Taking the light out takes a little coaxing once the four nuts have been removed. Then reverse the process.
What's the easiest way to excess the wires to install back-off flasher module? Need some room to work/splice wires, etc. Suggestions - thanks.
why do you have to splie? i am assuming you are talking about the brake pulser kit, i brought one that is plug and play, all i did was take out one of the inner taillight and was able to get my hand/arm in there, just unplug / plug in.
...thanks for the info. The module I have requires that you splice red wire leading to the vehicle center brake light and also connect a black ground--wasn't aware there was a plug-n-play model. I'll pull a tail light and see if I have enough room/slack wire to complete the install.

my friend, there is no way to correctly spice the wire unless you take the 3rd brake light out. you just can't see what you are doing if that light isn't removed. i would get the plug and play ones, why would you want to mess with cutting wire, of coures if you got it cheap and that is a consideration. the unit i got was around $50.
...about $50--return/shipping cost, etc--PITA. I'm gonna head out to the garage and give it a shot. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. Sounds like a pretty cool feature once I get it installed.
...the deed is done! Had to pull the center light. Plenty of wire/slack to complete splicing/wiring the module. Works great--just a little more work to get to the wires than I expected.
