I got the car on two jack stands and started off with rear. I took off the left rear tire to acess the bolt but can't seem to make it turn. I turned counter clockwise but it will not budge any suggestions?

You'll need to put some pressure on the end of the leaf spring using another jack and then the adjuster will turn easily. I used a small peice of two by four to protect the spring and a small bottle jack. Do a search for "lower" in the FAQ and you'll find several posts on how to go about lowering.
I lowered the rear of ours a while back. If you use the aftermarket lowering bolts with the thin layer of rubber, after a few thousand miles you will start to hear a scraping noise coming from them. It drove me nuts trying to figure out what the racket was, until I realized the rubber pad wore away. I thnk you can buy some neopreme pads to help, but I just re-installed the factory bolts and lowered the car as far as it would go on those. Good luck Kevin
Lowered mine a few weeks ago on stock bolts and the front got to where I wanted it- one finger gap from fender, but back didnt make much of a difference. I ended up cutting the whole bushing off the rears to get the same one finger gap and it looks awesome in my opinion.
going to get a buddy of mine to host some pics and then I can post.
Anyone out there have specifics on lowering car w/ stock bolts, & how much can you get it down.
Thanks in advance. Mike
Mike,
this is how much drop you will get with cranking the factory bolts down as far as they will go. The front is fine but the rear needs more so I will be cutting the bushings soon.
