Default T1 Bars Squeaking

I installed a set of T1 bars a couple weeks ago. They just now have started squeaking. I took off the bushings, greased the insides of them theroughly and reinstalled them but... they still squeak. Any sugestions?

The T1 links have a little play in them, and rattle a good bit. I replaced mine with stock links. The force through them was so great it tossed off the self-tightening nuts. I therefore double-nutted them and locked tited them. No problems or noise since.

I you have a Z06, the rear bar will rub the muffler.

I took off the rear clamps where they go to the rear suspension frame and stacked one washer behind each bolt and them re-installed the clamps. Now there is no more squeeks. It moves the insulators away from the frame enough to stop squeeking, but not enough to effect the handling.

bushings should not be squashed. Not sure on C6 but on C5 you need 3 washers top and bottom to stop the from crushing the isolator (rubber bushing). they should rotate freely when tighten down. Use die-electric grease as it will last longer. Tubes in NAPA for 7 bucks.

Thanks for the tip. No Z06 but the exhaust isn't stock anyway.
