I don't think not having an updated Nav disc will give you this problem.
Do you have it set for your "region"? I believe I saw something like that on a road trip when I drove out of the region that was set in the Nav system. Just go to the "Enter Destination" page and select "Region" and make sure it's got the correct one for your location selected.
Other than that, there several ways to change the scale.
1. With the arrows on the sides of the scale button.
2. By touching the scale bar (I think that pops up when you push the arrows on either side of the current scale, or when you touch the current scale itself - so if your scale buttons aren't working you may not be able to see the scale bar).
3. Using voice commands.
If one method isn't working, maybe another will.

Bob -
I've tried adjusting the scale size by all methods you suggested already. If I'm currently on 1/16 scale, I can Zoom out only by using any of the methods above. If I zoom out to the max scale (256mi?), then I can zoom in until I get to the 16mi scale and then it "Gray's Out" the arrow button and will not let me zoom in any closer.
The GPS shows my car moving around in the state, but it doesn't get me close enough to show the actual roads I'm on. I don't know what else this could be, besides a software issue.
Well I just priced the combo gas door/hatch release buttons through my dealership and its $50 at my cost (not bad).
The Window switch comes as a whole piece and it was $65 my cost.
Not bad for those two pieces.

Fuel release door went bad on mine wouldn't stay shut so dealership replaced the whole cable. Before that they had to replace the gas cap and remove that code from engine.
Anyone know how to copy the Nav DVD properly. I've made two double layer DVD+R coasters with Nero 6 (actually the files are there under windows, just not usable in Nav). I'm sure it's possible to make a working copy, but how?
I have made sure that my NAV was set to the correct region. I even reset NAV back to factory defults which set my region back to the Eastern setting. I changed it to the correct setting and still no Zoom. This problem unfortunately renders my NAV completely useless. It cannot set a destination because it won't zoom in to a detailed map so you can start route guidance.
I think this may be a software issue on the DVD I currently have. I have to spend $200 on a disc, especially if I don't know for sure if this is a problem. Too bad I don't have a back up copy of the disc! Anybody willing to make me a copy of their DVD NAV disc and send it to me? I would be willing to compensate you for the disc and the time.
Thanks,
Brian
The DVD just contains map data, so changing it probably won't help. Sounds like you need to update the operating system firmware in the Nav (it may have been corrupted). The update fix that enabled the 2005 Nav to play MP3s replaced the firmware with the updated version. So I suspect that doing this upgrade might fix your problem. A link to the ISO disk images, and instructions to use them, were posted here in a very long thread several months ago. If you search, you should find it. Or you could just go to the dealer and let them do the update. It takes about 10 minutes.
Previous owner may have had an aftermarket stereo installed - that he removed and put the OEM stereo back in - I kept all my Blose junk and left the wiring intact, in case I ever sell the car (unlikely with all the $$ I have invested), and the buyer doesn't want to up $5k for the stereo. This is the likely cause for the switches left disconnected - ripping out aftermarket goodies.
TPS monitor may just be flaking on you. I had one tire tell me OVERPRESSURE (44lbs) intermittantly yesterday. Just try and reprogram it, or replace if necessary.
Can't answer the NAV question - I felt the $1,600 was better invested in an aftermarket system when I bought my car new...
Does your system play MP3s? If it was one of these systems that required an update and was removed/re-installed like suggested, maybe it never got upgraded. You would know because MP3s could not be played. In any case, maybe you need the update written up on this post: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1254624

I will try downloading and updating tonight with the with the link provided. I will report back tonight on the progress made with those discs.
I just completed the firmware upgrade to the NAV system and..................................... ..It FIXED it! I cannot tell you how happy I am right now!
I especially want to thank "Shopdog" for the suggestion of the NAV firmware update and "tiggerrick" for the link provided allowing me to get the update.
My map functions all work correctly and I can now play MP3's!
2 problems down, 2 to go! Having the tire pressure sensor checked tomorrow at the dealer.

Wait, what about the other problems? Windows and TPS? Have you figured those out?
I'm the TPS checked out at the dealer today. I had ordered the power window switch 2 days ago, should be here today. Hopefully all of my problems will be solved today. I will report back tonight.
Not yet..... I'm still waiting on the window switch to come in, should be here today. Also, the dealer re-programmed the TPS in the right front and said that should fix it. Unfortunately it's still acting up. It's doing something different now though. Before the DIC would display "Service TPMS" and the tire pressure would read "XX" on the right front. Yesterday I'm driving along and hear "Ding-Ding" and look down at the DIC to see "Front Right Tire Flat". I stop the car, pull out my trusty tire pressure guage and what do I find??? You got it, a full tire.
I called and talked to the service advisor and he told me to bring it back in and they would take a look at it. I think it's just a messed up TPS. I wish they would just replace it and be done with it.
As of right now, I think I have everything fixed. The new power window switch (module), fixed my passenger side window problem. Also, I had the tire pressure sensor re-calibrated and it seems to be ok for now. I haven't really had a chance to drive it a long distance to see if it will mess up again, but for now it's working.
Thanks for all of the help, I'm definately enjoying the C6.
