Default Need help choosing tires

I'm not happy with the performance of the run flats. Any suggestions on which tires to go with? I had Bridgestone Pole Positions on my C5 and was very happy with them. The car is never driven in the rain so I'm only concerned with getting the best grip for "spirited" driving.

In stock sizing, I don't think you can do better than Michelin PS2 for hi-po street tires.

I totally agree. Their ratings on tire rack for dry traction, wet traction, smoothness of ride and treadware are all outstanding.

If you have the money to blow buy the PS2s... If not, the BFG KDWs are the best value ($900ish) after that if you can deal with the tread pattern.

I have 4 new KDW2 tires in my garage that will be going on later today....

I have heard that FS is releasing their new Wide Oval (basically the Bridgestone RE-750) in Jan if you can wait. I had them on my 03 Z06 and loved them.

There is a large price difference between the PS2s and the BFG KDW. Does anyone have experience with the BFGs? All I know is that the non-Z51 runflats are not cutting it!

I agree. I've had the KDWs for a year and they are excellent tires!!! Plus I like the funky tread!

And to add another into the mix, I am very happy with the Avon Tech M550s I just put on.

Have you looked at the runflats that are on the Z51? Not sure which option you have but my runflats are not so bad for street tires. I have the Z51 runflats.

I've had Michelins, and liked them. But they have gotten awful proud of the new PS2s. I have the KDW's on my car now and really like them.
