Nice video.

You must be powerhifting.

My car you hear the same 1-2 shift spinning, but my car only barks the 2-3, your spins it again like the 1-2

I have NO DOUBT your running what you say and I would also say your driving is worth 0.1-0.2.

BTW, how are you launching, I heard just a hint of wheelspin and then you were gone. No bogging at all.

Are you slipping the clutch and if so at what rpm?

Thanks,

Howard

The video doesnt show the time, but look at the numbers on the car, 102, then check the timeslips!

Car has run a 12.15 with tune, DR and mufflers now

By the way howard, nice information... (sorry if i got your thread off topic...i just had to!! )

Great run! No catback as I thought I heard your revving down the track. Maybe it was the car next to you?

I dont really remember, that was back in january...but i think then i was launching at around 2400rpm, slipping the clutch until the tires grabbed.

And no, there was no catback on the car, nothing but stock, I had the mufflers installed on 2/14/06, and this track run was 1-13-06

You asked.
True but at a miniumum it gives you a best case scenario. 12.28 with headers and a tune can be done. Its something.

Give Chevy credit, they gave us a great combo right pout of the box.

Mine gained 1 mile per hour

Stock best 12.85 @ 110 (good weather, 1.5 hr cool down)

Vararam best 12.89 @ 111 (cool but humid higher DA)

both backed up by 12.9's

Off to the track Fri to test my 1 7/8 Kooks they feel amazing but now the tires just spin so I assume I will go slower with stock tires!

I thought I would loose some TQ down low with the 1 7/8 and that would help my traction problems, no such luck.

I guess I'm getting old...remember when all you got was a hand written cardboard slip, the size of a business card, with your ET and MPH.

It was so much easier back then to compensate with carbs, timing, plug heat ranges, maybe a collector extension and always the option of swapping gears based on your first few time trials before eliminations.

Technology you are the bane of the modern performance car...not so easy to DIY at the track !

So what's a DA?....used to be a haircut that my older brother wore !!!

Well on the C6 I had all my mods done at once, so I can not vouch for the vararam on the C6. But on the C5 I gained .3 and 3 mph.

Interesting results.

My tuner kept telling me to take off my aftermarket airbridge and go back to stock. Well I finally did and it runs better and produced better numbers than ever before.

Hopefully I will get down to HRP and run since our local track is already closed. This way I can back it up with something other than G-Tech times and recordings from the ECM.

I felt an improvement when I installed the aftermarket airbridge but it must have just been the lighter wallet.

Would you care to disclose what aftermarket airbridge you had? You can PM me if you'd like.
