OK. So most vette owners know all about the traction control button and how it works. But my question is this...If traction control is completely off in comp mode, why dosen`t the skidding Corvette show up on the speedometer like it does when your just in traction control off mode?

cause, who wants to see a light on the dash when you're running a comp.?
traction control off indicator works well for those deep sand, mud, snow, etc. traction scenarios, where you just want to get unstuck (need to rock the car, etc.).
i've wondered why the 'skidding car' lamp is illuminated when one loses traction but is also illuminated when traction control is deactivated.
does that mean, traction control off tells the pcm to ignore the lose of traction ?
From the OM: Competitive Driving Mode
The driver can select this optional handling mode by
pressing the ACTIVE HANDLING button on the console
two times within a five second time period. A chime
will sound and COMPETITIVE DRIVING MODE will be
displayed in the DIC. Competitive Driving Mode
allows the driver to have full control of the rear wheels
while the Active Handling System helps steer the
vehicle by selective brake application. The instrument
cluster light will not be on. The Traction Control System
will not be operating. Adjust your driving accordingly.

I've wondered the same thing. I turn off TC at the track but as soon as I change the DIC to monitor anything else, sometimes I forget whether TC is off. Too many things going through my mind.
I think if they're going to go through all the trouble to have all the choices they should have made the TC OFF light up yellow, and Comp Mode light it up in red. On the up side, we HAVE choices and it shows them on the DIC.
Personally, I'd like to see what gear the A6 is in ALL THE TIME, not just in paddle mode. I mean, if we're going to add indicators let's get them all.
