Default How to replace a side mirror?

I just purchased a new GM side mirror (factory painted) to replace the original one on my 07 coupe which was damaged. Is this something I can tackle or is this best to have the dealer or a body shop perform? I assume that I will have to remove the interior door pannel and have no idea how to do this? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Bump for ya. I would like to do the same. How much did you pay for the painted mirror?

Tip

Use a J 38778 Door Trim Panel Removal Tool in the slot provided at the bottom rear edge of the trim panel.
Pull the rest of the pins on the trim panel loose with a sharp motion pulling away from the door.
Lift upward on the trim panel to release the clips across the top of the door panel.
Disconnect the main wiring harness.

Front Side Door Trim Retainer (Qty: 8)

Tip
Check the grommets that are left in the door to make sure all 8 are still in the door tightly, and with no cracks. If the door panel has been removed twice, replace all grommets to avoid door trim panel rattles.
