Default Need suggestions for switched power source

I need to locate a source of switched power preferably located near the console or the fuse block. Any suggestions?

I don't really know. The selective ride F55 terminal that is in the console, even though the car has Z51 suspension, would have been perfect. The center wire has switched power but will not open the vacuum solenoid, ie the amperage is too low. I finally found a pink wire in the fuse box. This was not as easy as it sounds. You have to unscrew a bolt and unplug the harness before you can remove the plastic protective cover. Then you must plug the harness back together before you can start testing for a switched power source. You have to do the reverse to reinstall the cover. This is a rediculous design! Anyway, the ZO6 mufflers are now working fine using a F55 switch to open and close them.

Test the fuses with the car off. Use a test light made for cars--that is, won't cook the computers. There are usually several blanks in the fuse panel you can plug into.

This would have been so easy. Chevy nolonger provides any blanks in the fuse panel?! I find this to be ridiculous!!! Chevy apparently doesn't want you to add accessories such as radar detectors, fuel and boost gages, vaccuum control switches, just to name a few. Why not provide blanks rather than forcing someone to cut open the wiring harness, cut into the appropriate wire, then closing everything back up. By the way, the fuse panel is located in the passenger foot space. This space can a little tight and splicing wires can be a challenge. Oh by the way! There are no spare fuses included in the price of the 07. Can't say about other years. There are four spaces but no fuses. This must have saved them another 25 cents. It may catch you stranded without lights, signals, etc. Be warned.
