Who else had a problem installing their Hurst shifter?

Who else had a problem installing their Hurst shifter?
I've installed about thirty of them on Forum members C5's and never had a problem.
I just installed on on my C6 and had one. The bolt that holds the **** to the shifter was not threaded correctly and my bolt snapped off while tightening it. I mentioned that in this thread - http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1566110 and two others said they had the same problem.
I emailed Hurst three times and the only response I got back was a blank reply sheet.
Perhaps it was just the last batch, but how many others have had this problem?
By the way, West Coast Corvettes is a stand up vendor, they are overnighting me a new shifter.
