Since we only get freezing temps 2-3x per year here in the Pacific NW (well, during normal years anyway), it's easy to forget when it is that cold when the heaters on, and it's sunny and bright outside. Sometime's it's a shock getting out of the car!
I was on my way to Barrett-Jackson, Driving through the desert at speeds I won't mention here (for fear of possible hanging ), and "possible ice" pops up... Made me think for a second! Got down to 28 that night, no ice but a shocker when I rolled down the window!
It does that when the temp hits 36 degrees F. Pretty dumb, but there you go. I wonder if I could sue them if I hit some ice and wrecked when it was 37F and the message hadn't shown?
It's a good thing. Mine came on at 34 degrees had me wondering too and it gets your attention on that DIC.
You don't get this on a 68 to 72 Corvette. C-6 has a mind of its own. Does everything for you compared to the oldies.
