Bassani x-pipe and B&B Route 66. The fit, finish and look is awesome. I got the round tips. They are so easy to align and get completely level without messing with them for hours. They say on the B&B website they are 3.5" but they are 4" and they fill up the back area really nice. There are some post if you seach of them with pics.
This is the 4 exhaust including stock I have installed and finally got it right. 1. Stock 2. Corsa Sports 3. GHL 4. Route 66
Hey KKing, how about drone inside the car???
I used to have the Route66 on my '03, and the drone was obnoxious at lower rpms (1500 to 2100 or so), which on an auto is the majority of the time.
I've heard some older V8 cars sound incredible with an exhaust, but the vette sounds... uninspiring. Heard a Corsa Indy on another '03, and sounded horribly raspy, and loud.
I was thinking about the Corsa Touring (maybe it changed name now?) since they're not supposed to drone, but will follow this thread, and others. Also want to get it right with the C6 this time.
Does the Basani X-pipe change the sound a lot? What's the purpose of changing it? And do you have to cut and weld on the C6 like on the C5? I put a catback exhaust on my SC430 and was a piece of cake with the flanges.
........I went for the horsepower and did headers with the stock mufflers. The headers deeped the tone like any aftermarket muffler system and will give you a seat of the pants feel to the tune of about 35 more foot pounds. It will cost you about $3-400 more but if you're under the car anyway, thats a cheap power gain over a cat back system alone and less than 3 more hours of work. If you hire a shop to do your work then I understand your position . I can do that kind of work and it was worth a backache and and some cuts and Band Aids over 7 hours.
Don't understand the logic of spending $ just for sound benefit when for a few bucks more you can achieve the same thing with added HP and TQ

I just dont want to mess with Headers and reporgramming the car. I want a simple exhaust system and I want to keep the car mostly stock. I thought flowmasters would be a good bolt on but was told to stay away from them.
