I have yet to actually find an exact weight of each printed anywhere but I still believe there is a notable difference between them, or at least between the base 1LT and a fully optioned (especially a Z51 or F55 car) 3LT car though many have tried to refute that.
I have a 1SX in 2005 (no options except for a Z51).. My car now weighs 3058 with a 1/4 tank of gas.. I do have a lightweight battery, saved 20lbs with headers and 10lbs with the tires... Not sure if what the 1sx is equivalent to in 2006+

The manual transmissioned 1SX for 2006/2007 (now known as the 1LT of course) should weigh the same butthe automatics will weigh a litle more because the 6L80E 6 speed auto weighs more than the 4L60E 4 speed.
i just ordered a 07 1LT to keep it on a diet. the higher options are very nice (i would put them in my caddy) but am trying to keep it a light sports car. just curious what the weight penalties are for all the gadgets.

that's one of the reasons why i only went with the 2LT package. i wanted a little more safety(2LT comes with side airbags in the upgraded seats). i think the change in weights for the seats would be the only real difference between 1lt and 2lt packages.
How accurate is the GVWR sticker on the door? I noticed mine shows a GVW of 3698 lbs. with a max occupant and gear rating of 423 lbs. This should mean that the car weighs 3275 lbs. Since this is different than the advertised weight of the car I wonder if it is the actual weight of a C6 with the options that I have. Can someone else check their sticker and see if it matches?
Mine is an 05 6 speed 1SB with all options except OnStar and XM.
BTW the GVWR sticker is on the door while the occupant load is on the tire pressure sticker in the door jamb.
I would've ordered mine with a/c delete and no sound proofing if it was possible. The only reason I got the 3lt pkg was that it added weight somewhere more important...my wallet!! I got a heck of a deal.

Even I with my extreme weight saving consciousness wouldn't go that far but I would consider a 'club sport' Corvette that did away with TCS/AH/ABS, leather and power seat/windows/door locks if it were available (and cheaper).

With my 2000 TA, to save weight, I pulled the rear seats, extra carpets, spare tire+jack, all the a/c componets and wished I could've converted to manual windows. Not alot on these C6's to pull to save wieght, be better off laying off the fast food till the track opens back up in the spring I'd like to see a stripped down version (no power options)of the base C6 as well, and use the ZO6 body and panels.

Yeah you couldn't get manual windows/door locks etc on the Firebirds (even T-tops were standard on V8s after 2000) after a certain model year but you could still get a stripper Z28 right up until the end and that's what I've got, a factory lightweight LS1 F-body hardtop that's light while still retaining it's A/C. Ran a best of 11.8@113+ with bolt ons only.

I knew a tuner named Joe that had an Orange Z28 that was fast as hell for a bolt on car. He took eveything out to save weight and even did a hood swap for a lighter one. He was running somewhere in the 11's as well for just boltons, tune and DRs.Made me ill after pouring $$$ into a SC and engine mods to have someone with a little cash invested run almost as fast.Of course, I was running street tires. I still kick myself for never running slicks on that car.
I do know that the 3LT package adds 64 pounds to the C6, because in Canada our cars all come with the 3LT package as standard equipment, and the curb weight listed on GM Canada's website is 64 pounds more than the curb weight on the US website. (our site lists the weight at 3243, vs 3179 for the 1LT car in the US)
