I had it on my recent vette...i think it is expected on most any h/c set up. I have heard that rocker arms might lessen that effect, but rocker arms are not necessary for performance...I am sure more will chime in...
In my opinion, the sound will be about the same, as the underlying valvetrain design is identical. But the sounds can vary from car to car. I have heard the same cam sound different in different cars.
In general, if you want to minimize valvetrain noise, go with a cam that has a little less lift. The "XE" lobes from Comp Cams typically have max lift around .550", and are usually pretty quiet. The "XE-R" lobes raise the max lift up to .580" and higher, and will be a little noisier. The choice of valvesprings also makes a difference.
