Default Z51 Rotor Swap

I'm sure this subject has been addressed numerous times, but my search efforts haven't resulted in a confirmed answer. Will C6 Z51 brake rotors work on a C6 with the standard suspension? Do the caliper mounting brackets need to be changed? What about the calipers - will the standard C6 callipers work? Has anyone had their rotors zinc plated?

I have a 07 Z51 coupe. The rotors now appear to be coming from the factory with a grey course powder coat which I suspect is Zinc plating. I have had no rusting problems. I will be replacing my Z51 brakes and rotors with the Z06 brake package in about a month.

Yes, the rotors will work on the standard suspension.

Yes, you must use the Z51 caliper mounting brackets.

Yes, the standard C6 calipers will work.

I've performed this swap on my car and everything bolts up perfectly.

The 06 and 07 Z51 rotors don't need to be zinc plated. They come with a gray coating that prevents rust.

Curious. Where are yours rusting? I have no rust after 2000 miles on my daily driven car. (Mine have the gray coating too)
