Its a very invloved process to get carb certification for California and the cost vs. sales would be a loser.

Shortys do nothing Im afraid.

Gains are going to be lackluster on a shorty. The Callaway pieces are the only ones I'm aware of for a C6? Neither CARB nor federal rules allow for the relocation of the cats and all states must comply with one or the other. This makes LTs illegal everywhere in the US although people often mistakenly post otherwise.

Wonder if gains worth the cost of using high flow cats with stock manifolds? Eg. Random makes a replacement cat which bolts between stock manifolds and stock h-pipe.

The gains come mostly from lengthening the primary tubes (hence pushing the cats further back). The cats on our cars aren't terribly restrictive to start with.

My car has an exhaust system from hell. My car just wouldnt be any good to me without em. I say put whatever you want on your car and theres always some slimebag illegal smog ****** you can kick a few bucks. My bet is my C6 burns clean enough anway. Dynoteach makes such nice headers , they have all the ports for the O2 censors. **** Cali if they cant appreciate MY CAR!

I keep thinking we have 6 or 7 years until it is a problem anyway. By then who knows. The only exception would be if you get caught in one of the check points but I understand they are optional at least for now.

I would say I have less underhood temp with my stainless steel LG Pro headers. 300 series stainless is a pretty good insulator compared to cast iron.
