Default Air-charger

Has any one put an Air Charger on their C6? What is you opinion? Did you consider the SnakeCharmer from Vararam?

I like the looks of the air charger but at $250 for a small piece of plastic and some screws it seems over priced. Check out their web page for a video of the installation on a Z06.

if you have a c6 but not a zo6 (there is a little ram air effect for the zo6) it is just another way to get ambient air into your car....cutting the 2 holes on the bottom by the radiator air inlet will do the same at $0.

Both Mr Vet4LES and Mr CBRf4I1 are correct.

Let me explain, the Air-Charger was initially geared towards the C6 Z06 crowd. Many local C6 guys saw it and decided to try it on their C6's, they embraced the power increase, stealthiness and easy of installation.

NEW pricing for the standard C6 crowd will be released SOON for those seeking a complte kit (Stinger/Air-Charger combo OR just an Air-Charger).

Now, by simply cutting two holes and flipping your filter over can provide you much better breathing capabilities over stock, but it comes at a price. That particular approach have dimishing effects because it draws warm air that floats around the radiator cavity. The Air-Charger does not rely on the air that floats around the raditor cavity.

Cooler air means more power. Please let me know if guys would like me to give a more in-depth explanation of our findings (before & after tuning and no tuning).

We are all smart and educated individuals, I don't need to nor will throw you guys crazy outrageous HP claims, just the truth and so you can then go from there.

Thanks.

What if the holes are cut in the blank sections on each end of the front fascia extension similar to the Halltech CAI?
Doesn't this method provide more then enough ambient air from the grille opening to feed any aftermarket filter assembly?

Notching and reversing the stock rainshield to adapt to an aftermarket filter assembly forms a partial plenum that isolates the filter from the engine bay heat and takes advantage of the ambient air intake.

Yes Mr. RBYCC, those are very good alternatives. Anything that can give your motor more cooler air is a good thing.

I like the Halltech grill mesh set up. it utilizes what GM already gave us, however, that kit allows for more air volume.

Typically a direct air path to the filter is more effective that any other system that requires the air to travel through different/more channels.

Thanks
