I have been told they leak and are no good
I am sending my car to LPE for the 403 Package and they are not putting the Fast intakes in anymore because of this issue
They just port the the ls2 intake and get the same gain

You can get your intake ported by a few forum vendors. They basically ream it out to improve the flow. It's said to add about 10-15 hp; probably not noticible, but with other mods (headers, or especially heads / cam), it might give even more benefit.

I'm using a ported LS2 intake from Cory Harris. He claims 7-10 rwhp gain.
I sent him my L76 intake manifold to work on, results when I install heads, intake, and 224 cam.

You can install a FAST LSx intake on a C6, My car has one

You do have to modify the firewall or the intake to fit it. I modified the intake so it is a direct bolt on, and as long as the intake is installed correctly, it will not leak.

The LS2 is a nice manifold, but there are gains to be made with the FAST, especially in the midrange.

Let me know if I can help

Louis

Yes it is done all the time.

The throttle body will bolt on, but we usually cut the lip off of the fast intake for cosmetic reasons.

The lower section of the cowl, which in closes the wiper assembly, needs to be cut to clear the back of the intake manifold.

The map sensor wiring needs to be extended. The LS2 intake locates the map sensor at the front where the Fast is located at the back.

We port the intakes all the time, and haven’t seen any problems with leaks.

The Fast will be have a significant gain over stock. We have seen as much as 30 RWHP on larger displacement engines and is well worth the trouble.

Good luck with your project, you should be very happy with the power gain.

Hmmm, now lets see, if I sell a FAST Intake, I make X, however, if I port the stock intake in my shop I make maybe X+Y for more profit.

Sounds like everyone that "doesn't" have a FAST 90 is an expert.

Most tuners wants to sell you what they get the best deal on, so if they can't get a deal on "X", but get a deal on "Y", "Y" is better. Just look at all the CAI out there.

It is no different than TVs, washing machines, etc........

I understand this. However, no one talked me into the FAST...it's what I wanted.

I have a FAST on my C6. I had help but it wasn't too hard to put in. It doesn't leak. It improved the SOTP feel. It sounds better than stock. It looks better than stock. I am using the stock throttle body. I couldn't be happier with it. Do a search on the forum for the results of porting a FAST. Forum members have reported gains from installing the FAST. They have also reported additional gains from having it ported. I plan to do some more work on my car in March. The FAST and the throttle body will be ported then.

You bet. My tuner arrangements are pretty cost-effective, though. I don't think he has any shelves. Jeremy will have that beef ready, friend.

Well I have a 06 6spd with Lgs, xpipe, tune, LPE intake, and a Fast 90. Stock cat back and everything else.

I made 407/411 SAE corrected 399/402 in the pooring rain. Now if your not a believer of the fast you should be now. I know plenty of people with my mods, except they dont have the Fast. These people don't even come close to the same power gains. Ed Wright is pretty good with a dyno tune though. No leaks, but I did mod the firewall.
