I'll be arriving in the States on Leave from working in Iraq in mid March to an awaiting 07 C6 Z51 (currently on order ) and all you guys already have my head filled with mods.
1st Tires and wheels, I will go with Savini Wheels. I want to go with 19's Front & 20's Rear with PS2's
Does anyone know how wide I can go in front and the rear without any problems and what width wheel would I need for your suggested tire width? Do you know the bolt pattern for this Vert?
2nd For sure the I will go with the Borla Stinger Exhaust system with either Dynatech Supermaxx, Kooks or Lg Pro headers with an X pipe and Cats. Eventually in about 1 year or less I will add an APS TT system so which Headers would you think is the best for this future application?
Last question for now. Does anyone know any good reliable shops and tuners in the San Antonio,TX area?
most of us can get 275s up front and 305s in the rear with the correct offset.
you dont use headers with the TT kit, they come with their own exhaust manifolds the turbos bolt too, S I would save the money on the headers since you will just have to sell them in a year and have to do the same work twice.
Thanks for the input on the tires. As afr as the TT system goes I understand what you are saying that the APT TT system comes with the exhaust manifold but can't headers be mounted in place of their exhaust manifold for increased performace. I've seen Pics of their Exhaust and they almost look like stock. Thanks for your feedback. Oh and yes I am new to the performance world , Charlie

The exhaust manifolds are cast iron pieces that are specifically designed to hold the extra weight of the turbo, as well as withstand the high amount of heat the turbos generate. Exhaust port size, shape, and general design is also aimed at optimizing the exhaust flow to the turbo. Like a member posted above, don't waste the money on headers now if you're going to go with a TT setup next year.
If you want some extra kick now, I can recommend some items that will still be useable with your APS kit later on. Feel free to PM me if you need some help.
