I used locking lugs for a time....was a pain to keep up with the key lug, and if you have a good set, not an autozone set, the keys can be really difficult to replace. I had to use alot of force and an air wrench to remove my last set after the ket was lost. The "autoparts" stores sets are easy to defeat, as there is only a few different keys for all the ones they sell. A good theif makes a small investment by buying one of each type.
Someone should do an aftermarket tire pressure sensor with a proximity alarm, so if your wheels go too far away from your car, your alarm sounds and one inside the tire does as well so you can track them down....
I use McGard tuner lugnuts, which aren't locks per se, but are thinner lugnuts that need a special chuck to remove. I do it to keep from messing up the lug holes though, and not for security. The only time my Vette stays away from home and outside for any length of time is in the Delta employee lot at the airport, which has the same security as the airfield.
Every lug is a Gorilla lock... 20 of em! I'm not taking my chances... even though the car doesn't leave my sight. Had a scare in my youth where some SOB decided to be cute and loosen all the lugs on a convertible I had. Wheel flew off the car on a busy highway at 65mph.
Needless to say the rear rotor and fender was TOAST. Had to change out my pants after that too.

Not a bad idea ... but I feel bad for any tire shop that does work for you ...
no locks, the car is so low that more than likely they will damage something else when trying to get them off, so I might as well make it easy for them so they get the hell away from my car faster.
seriously though, I've never had a problem with wheel theft. Most wheel theft is someone that knows someone, and is pissed at them, or they are trying to scam insurance. I've seen a lot of that in my short time.
